Speaker Jim Lacefield will examine the geography of Coal Age Alabama and highlight some of the factors that helped produce the rich and diverse record of fossilized life that existed here during the Pennsylvanian Period; factors that included the unusual tectonic and environmental changes that were taking place here during that time.
