Alabama. We were
quite excited because this was a new site Steve found, and we were
chomping at the bit, ready to go. We found a good variety of
bivalves and gastropods, a few shark teeth and ray teeth. The
most numerous fossil we found is Flabellum
cuneiforme pachyphyllum, a type of

Submitted by Vicki Lais on Sun, 07/22/2001 - 11:00pmBPS members went to a Clarke County site where whale fossils have been found in the past, but none were found on this day. We also collected at a privately owned quarry in Washington County, Alabama, where numerous echinoids, sand dollars, and foraminifera were found.
