The next regular meeting of the BPS is Monday, April 5, 2010, 7-9 pm at the McWane Science Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Our speaker for April is Alberto Perez-Huerta, who recently joined the Department of Geological Sciences, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.  His lecture is titled "Paleoclimatic Impact on Late Carboniferous Marine Ecosystems".  He has written or collaborated on numerous research papers, including articles on sea urchins, brachiopod shell structure, and shell formation.
