The Geological Survey of Alabama is co-sponsoring a one-day field workshop for in-service and pre-service science teachers to introduce them to earth-science topics and suggest ways to integrate this material into their teaching curriculum. The workshop will take place Tuesday, October 15, 2019, from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm hosted by the University of West Alabama in Livingston and will consist of a field trip to see fossil-bearing rock outcrops in the area. The cost of registration is $28, which will include a copy of the book Lost Worlds in Alabama Rocks, DVDs of the Emmy award winning TV series Discovering Alabama, and more.
