An article titled "Whale Evolution" appears in the August 2010 National Geographic Society magazine.  It covers research done by Dr. Philip Gingerich.  Some of you may remember that an early whale bone found in South Alabama a few years ago by one of our members, Dr. Martha Ivey, is now being studied by Dr. Gingerich.  Also, he spoke on his whale research at the University of Tuscaloosa back in April 2007.
