Parts of a turtle were found in this wash, everyone is searching for more tiny fragments.
A fish is being carefully excavated from the side of this gully. It was found by accident, when the tooth part of an enchodus jaw found on top of the gully rolled down, and we were hunting for the broken off tooth.
The next site required a short boat trip. The shoreline in this area is composed of deteriorated Conasauga shale.
People were scattered all up and down the shoreline.
As the sun gets low in the sky, we're still going around to the marked items, surface collecting or excavating as needed, trying to finish before dark.
