Program: Discussion and slideshow led by Greg Mestler on the theses - Ingersoll shale Lagerstatte written by Sean Bingham and Terry Knight. Visit to see paleo lab and new exhibits being installed.
A trip to a non-working mine site to explore spoil piles for invertebrate fossils was on the menu for BPS's August field trip.
BPS presents "Fossils of Alabama" in the Ellenburg Art Gallery at the Homewood Public Library. Exhibit will be on display through September 30. On September 30 from 2:30 - 4:00 there will be an Open House, with hands on fossil displays and a "screening for fossils" sand pile to find your own fossils.
